Now that he’s shown former Attorney General Pam Bondi the door after she reportedly begged him not to, Donald Trump is likely to put at least three more staffers on the chopping block, according to Michael Wolff, who has written extensively about Dementia Don over the years and is considered one of the most reliable biographers on the topic.
During an appearance on the Inside Trump’s Head podcast, Wolff explained that Trump’s dismissal of cabinet members is like a “set of dominoes,” and there will be more firings very soon.
“I think it’s just a pervasive sense of dissatisfaction: ‘Who can I blame?’” Wolff explained. “I don’t think it really relates to any one issue. I think it relates to [how] things are bad: ‘Somebody needs to be blamed other than me, Donald Trump, so I’m going to fire somebody’.”
Who might be next?
“Tulsi Gabbard next week, RFK Jr. the week after, Howard Lutnick inevitably coming up.”
Gabbard will be given the boot, Wolff noted, because she has refused to denounce Joe Kent, the former National Counterterrorism Center director who resigned over Trump’s disastrous Iran war.
Also headed for the unemployment line is Health and Human Services secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Wolff said.
“I know that he’s been calling around and saying to people, you know, ‘I hear people say, Bobby is crazy. You think he’s crazy?’ And you know the answer he wants.”
And there’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, who, much like Trump, has his own Jeffrey Epstein problems and admits he visited Epstein’s “Rape Island” on at least one occasion.
Wolff’s comments were not well-received by the White House, with Communications Director Steven Cheung going off on a deranged tangent.
“Michael Wolff is a lying sack of s— and has been proven to be a fraud,” Cheung said. “He routinely fabricates stories originating from his sick and warped imagination, only possible because he has a severe and debilitating case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted his peanut-sized brain.”
The dumping of staff members is all because Trump is terrified of what will happen in the midterm elections, according to Wolff.
“I don’t think he can recover here. Also, he is going in very shortly into his formal lame duck period,” he said. “Plus, we are approaching the midterms, which are going to be a catastrophe.”
“He’s going to lose,” he added. “It is going south. So, his go-to move in that case is starting to fire people, which is going to increase the chaos, which is going to increase how deeply south this is going.”
If and when Trump loses, expect him to be investigated and impeached. And if the Democratic majority in the Senate is large enough, Donald could again make history as the only president ever to be removed from office.
It can’t possibly happen soon enough.
