Donald Trump appeared with his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, at the White House this morning for a public signing ceremony of an executive order that is meant to improve the health of American women, an issue that is near and dear to Mrs. Trump’s heart.
After Trump signed the executive order, he handed his Sharpie pen to his wife and said, “I don’t know if her signature means anything.”
Some in the audience laughed uncomfortably, and Mrs. Trump remarked, “Yours is the most important.”
She then told those gathered for the event, “Previous generations fought for women’s rights. Our generation will fight to discover the cures that will ensure a woman can live her life in health and to the fullest.”
Trump’s snarky comment didn’t sit well with many people who saw video of his remarks.
Yep, Donald Trump is an insufferable asshole. We’ve known that for quite some time now. Why Melania continues to put up with his bullshit is a mystery. It must be part of the contract they have with each other and she can’t stand the thought of having to work for a living. Whatever the case, they kind of deserve each other.
