Bondi And Gabbard Next To Get The Axe As Trump Panics Over Midterms: Reports

With a little more than seven months remaining until the November midterm elections, Donald Trump is reading the proverbial tea leaves — i.e., the polls — and can sense that Republicans are headed for a humiliating defeat of historic proportions that will cause them to lose control of both the House and Senate.

With the prospect of congressional investigations and even impeachment looming over the last two years of his presidency, Trump is ready to take a page from his days as host of “The Apprentice” and start telling top administration staffers they’re fired.

According to reports from MS NOW and The Guardian, the two aides who will soon be dismissed are Attorney General Pam Bondi and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

First is Bondi, who was in way over her head the day she was sworn in as AG.

“President Donald Trump is eyeing replacing Pam Bondi as attorney general, according to a person familiar with White House discussions.”

“Trump has been frustrated with Bondi’s inability to successfully prosecute several individuals whom he considers political enemies and has argued should face criminal charges. The source requested anonymity because they are not authorized to speak on sensitive matters.”

Bondi’s mishandling of the DOJ’s files on the late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein enraged Trump.

“The attorney general has been under constant fire for her handling of the release of investigative files related to convicted and deceased sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. The House Oversight Committee recently subpoenaed her to testify about her department’s handling of the files’ release. She refused to answer questions about that handling during a feisty House Judiciary Committee hearing in February.”

If Bondi is indeed shown the door, she would likely be replaced by former New York Rep. Lee Zeldin, who is currently serving in the administration as head of the Environmental Protection Agency.

And then there’s Gabbard, who dared to disagree with the notoriously thin-skinned Trump about the reason to attack Iran.

Donald Trump has privately asked cabinet officials in recent weeks whether he should replace his director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, venting frustration that she shielded a former deputy who undercut his rationale for war with Iran, according to two people briefed on the discussions.”

“It is not clear that Trump will actually fire Gabbard over the episode. Currently, there is no standout candidate to take the job, and advisers have cautioned that creating a high-profile vacancy before a successor is ready could cause unhelpful political distractions.”

How soon could Bondi and Gabbard get their walking papers? Considering that the latest polls show Trump’s support cratering even among some of his most fervent supporters, don’t be surprised if there’s an Easter ouster in the offing.

One thing’s for sure: Both Bondi and Gabbard are unfit for any post in any administration. The only reason they were chosen in the first place is because of their fealty to a man who would happily sell out his own family for the right price.
