Donald Trump had yet another WTF?! moment last night during a campaign rally in North Carolina, referring to a hurricane as a “watercane” and leaving many suggesting that his dementia has reached its height.
Referencing Hurricane Helene, which hit the Tar Heel State in 2024, the mentally failing head of state remarked, “When you had the hurricane. We call it a watercane. It was the most; there’s never been a hurricane that anybody’s seen that threw out more water than that.”
What in the hell is a watercane? Go ahead and look for a definition. I dare you! It doesn’t exist! And it doesn’t exist because there has never and will never be a watercane. There are hurricanes and candy canes, but the two did not mate and spawn a watercane, which quite frankly sounds like something a person taking some sort of exotic hallucinogenic drug would blurt out in the middle of a bad trip. A WATERCANE IS CHASING ME! RUN!
Of course, Dementia Don has a bit of a history when it comes to hurricanes.
In 2017, after Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico, the clueless president threw rolls of paper towels at residents instead of trying to comfort them.
A year later, in 2018, the octogenarian Rapist-in-Chief called Hurricane Florence “one of the wettest we’ve ever seen from the standpoint of water.”
Water. Hurricane. Watercane. Then again, couldn’t it also be called a Hurriwater or Hurriflood? Just a few suggestions in case the Donald wants some variation when discussing the storms.
