Proving once again that he knows absolutely nothing about the U.S. Constitution or American history, the demented old geezer currently residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C., is demanding that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) be impeached, even though members of Congress are not subject to removal via impeachment.
Taking to social media so the internet could witness his massive ignorance, Trump wrote:
“Hakeem Jeffries, a Low IQ individual, said our Supreme Court is ‘illegitimate.’ After saying such a thing, isn’t he subject to Impeachment? I got impeached for A PERFECT PHONE CALL. Where are you Republicans? Why not get it started? They’ll be doing this to me!”
Again, it should be noted that members of Congress can only be removed by a two-thirds vote of their colleagues. Considering that House Republicans have the narrowest margin of control in decades, that isn’t going to happen.
Clearly, Trump is aware that his party is poised to lose in the November midterm elections. He also knows that if and when that happens, he will be impeached for the third time. He already holds the dubious honor of being the only president to be impeached twice.
As one person noted in response to Trump’s impeachment posting, “Donnie Cankles is worried about the future.”
Others then joined the online debate and mockery.
Never has the 25th Amendment been needed more than it is now.
