It’s the question being asked around the world: Why did she do it? What made Melania Trump suddenly come out and address the fact that she had once traveled in the same circles as the late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and his longtime friend Ghislaine Maxwell?
Could it be that Melania knew there were damaging reports on the way that would implicate her in the crimes committed by Epstein and Maxwell, or did she simply get tired of hearing her name associated with such notorious criminals and wanted to tell her side of the story?
One thing is certain: Mrs. Trump has sparked chatter on the internet, where it seems everyone was eager to put forth their own theory about what prompted her remarks on Thursday.
But, more ominously for Melania and the White House, are the new threats emerging after she made her remarks.
The threats come from a page out of the First Lady’s modeling past, according to The Swamp, The Daily Beast’s Substack.
“Complicating matters further: a woman claiming to be the ex-girlfriend of Paolo Zampolli — Melania’s former modeling agent turned presidential envoy — has been posting cryptic threats online, hinting she could ‘spill’ on alleged connections. If the posts are authentic, that would be the same ex-girlfriend who claims Zampolli used his friendship with the Trumps to get her deported by ICE. Coincidence or catalyst? In Trumpworld, nothing is ever simple — and this saga is fast becoming a particularly tangled web.”
Spill what? What dirt might Zampolli’s ex provide?
The woman, who claims to be Amanda Ungaro, is the mother of Zampolli’s child, and she’s been busy firing off all sorts of verbal missiles at Melania.
A look at Ungaro’s Twitter/X account reveals these sorts of posts:
“I will tear down your corrupt system, even if it’s the last thing I do in my life. I will go all the way—I am not afraid. Maybe you should be afraid of what I know… of who you are, and who your husband is.”
“will take legal action against you and your pedophile husband. I have known you for 20 years. You knew I was detained in ICE. You were present in my life — every year on my son’s birthday, even sending Secret Service and being the first to congratulate him, back in 2016. Something was clearly wrong, but I am not part of any evil mission involving children. So what did you do, Melania? You tried to involve me, but you failed — because I have character.”
Sounds incredibly juicy, doesn’t it? And in time, perhaps we’ll have more clarity regarding the full truth of how Melania and Donald were connected to Epstein and Maxwell, along with any crimes they may have been part of.
For now, all we have is speculation, but it’s certainly the sort of speculation that keeps the public’s interest.
