It’s no exaggeration to say that at this point in his presidency, Donald Trump is the most unpopular U.S. head of state in the nation’s history, and the bad news for him and Republicans is that his poll numbers continue to fall with each passing day.
According to a report from Axios, three new polls show that Trump’s approval has suffered a massive 51-point swing against him, with respondents saying Joe Biden did a better job as president, a data point that is certain to enrage the notoriously insecure head of state.
That report and the polls were the topic of discussion on MS NOW this morning, with “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough remarking, “I’ve never, in 32, 33 years following this very closely on the Hill, I have never seen 50-point swings. Here we have a 51-point swing on the economy, a 51-point swing among [young] voters, and that’s in the past year!”
Indeed, Trump’s approval among young voters – those between ages of 18 and 29 years – has collapsed since he took, dropping by 51 points to -42 net negative approval.
Think about that for a moment: -42 net approval! Those kind of numbers are so much of an anomaly that they point to a larger trend among the American electorate that isn’t likely to be reversed even if Dementia Don cures cancer, ushers in world peace, and deposits a million bucks into every taxpayer’s bank account.
“Every day it’s another act in a shock opera, which I don’t know, I don’t know, maybe there’s this belief – I know there’s always been the belief – shock, people own the libs and gain your power from their overreacting, but we’re not. We understand this, and it’s not owning the libs,” Scarborough continued.
“As I’ve said before, if you’re hitting your forehead with a ball peen hammer, that’s owning you, and that’s what we’re seeing in these numbers.”
Co-host Mika Brzezinski concurred with Scarborough.
“This is the no-consequence presidency. Nobody gets fired. Whether it’s shielding child predators or being child predators within this administration, potentially, or whether it’s execution-style killings in Minnesota, whether it’s this ICE raids gone wild, all these things that he campaigned on that are turning upside down within his administration, but no accountability, none at all. And he seems completely detached from it.”
“She continued: “”There is a ‘no-consequence’ aspect to this presidency that I think might be frustrating to some people.”
The midterm elections are just nine months away. Jobs are not being created. Children are being locked up in what can only be called concentration camps. Federal officers are murdering protesters. Prices on almost everything continue to rise. Oh, and then there’s the growing Epstein scandal, which within itself could bring down Trump and the GOP.
If the so-called president had any sense, he’d resign now and go play golf 24-7. But as we learned a long time ago, Donald Trump has zero sense, no plan for what ails the nation, and is only focused on one thing: Enriching himself at our expense.
