The White House has set off a wave of online blowback after posting an image of a pumpkin with a sombrero carved into it, along with the caption, “Spooky szn is here.”

The posting appears to be a reference to AI videos shared a year ago by Republicans as they launched repeated attacks on Democrats over the issue of immigration.
Those videos, which depicted prominent Democratic lawmakers wearing sombreros, were condemned as blatant bigotry and fearmongering.
The latest iteration of hatred from the administration was also met with plenty of social media disgust and pushback. Take a look:
Wow, another low-effort racist stereotype. Kewl.

Wait until a second Halloween hits next week on Election Day. Trump will read the results and come to the realization that the next two years will be the worst of his life. Spooky szn indeed!
