Donald Trump loved mocking his predecessor, President Joe Biden, for his every mistake or misstatement, suggesting that it was proof Biden was unfit for office and too old to be head of state.
But if that’s the case, then someone really needs to consider remarks Trump made today as he was headed to a campaign rally in South Carolina to try and shore up the flagging fortunes of Sen. Darline Graham (R), who is slipping in the polls and could be on the way to losing what was once a safe Senate seat in a deep red state.
Before he boarded Air Force One, Trump was asked for a comment on the firing of the Pentagon’s chief military planner, Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia, a top Joint Chiefs of Staff official targeted by far-right influencer Laura Loomer who is accused of leaking classified information.
“She’s got problems,” Trump said. “She’s going to have big problems. We’re very much looking for leakers, and she’s going to have big problems – long-term problems.”
It would appear that Trump got confused because the ousted general’s last name is Sylvia, but shouldn’t the commander in chief know the difference before speaking out on the issue? He’d have been better off to say he had no comment.
Does Donald Trump have any idea what is going on at the Pentagon? If he did, he would have dumped Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth a long time ago. Instead, he makes idiot comments that prove he’s unfit for office and needs to be removed via the 25th Amendment.
