If you’ve been to the grocery store lately or had to fill your vehicle up with gasoline, have you noticed that the price of things has come down dramatically in recent months?
What? You haven’t?
According to so-called “President” Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), inflation is way down when compared to the Biden administration.
But is it really?
Trump made this posting on social media regarding the inflation rate under his leadership: “Great News America! The Dumocrat caused inflation is way down from what it had been, and we will bring it down still further. MAGA!”
That led Cruz to chime in.
Media doesn’t want you to know this. https://t.co/vwYJ4cry2z

However, Donnie and Teddy are lying, as several people noted online.
The fact that it went up after Trump took office?

What liars like you don’t want people to know is that inflation was 3% on 1/20/25, the day Biden left office, and that it’s 3.5% today… https://t.co/8ItelkUS1y

Oh Teddy, my gasoline, insurance, energy costs, groceries, rent, and household goods don't give a shit about this nonsense.

Inflation rate is currently 3.50%.

That is up from the 1.9% when Trump took office.
Weird you left that part out.

Inflation declined because energy prices declined in the wake of the shortlived MoU with Iran. Food at home and food away from home and shelter were all up. Trump ended the MoU in July.

Some facts Ted. Trump has failed on inflation. After fifteen months in office, inflation is higher (3.5%) than when Trump took office (3%). Avg. consumer prices are up a cumulative 5.1% since Trump returned. And with Hormuz closed again gas prices are set to rise because Trump…

People don’t need media for this – they can see prices of things with their own fucking eyes.

Here's what Republicans don't want you to know. They fucking jacked up inflation, started a war, declared victory 37 times, played with the cost of oil, just to claim inflation fell.
— James Charles (@james_charles81) July 14, 2026
Meanwhile, we're still at war, the cost of oil is back on the rise, and shit is still expensive. pic.twitter.com/hrns8enxm3
Nice try, Don and Ted, but the vast majority of Americans don’t believe a damn word you say. Why should they? It’s all propaganda based on bullshit.
