During his Fourth of July speech last night, so-called “President” Donald Trump attempted to condemn socialism, but only succeeded in proving that he had not read or understood the most basic documents that serve as the foundation of government in the United States.
“And as our Declaration of Independence tells us, we are all made in the image of one almighty god. And a communist will never say that. That’s for sure,” Trump said.

Nope. That is nowhere in the Declaration. It’s also not in the Constitution.
What does it say? It says, “All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.”
Nothing about an “image” or almighty god. He made it up. He lied. All he does is lie, bumble, misspeak, misquote, and ramble on like a mental patient.
That was all it took to trigger an avalanche of social media mockery.
Nothing says “I love America” like misquoting the Declaration of Independence on live TV and then pretending the fake quote proves everyone else hates the country.

It will go down in history that the person who was president on our 250th anniversary lied about what is in the document that the anniversary is about.

“Trump may have misquoted the Declaration but that’s ok because the Declaration should have said that.”
