Trump Appears To Be Taking Experimental Drug For A Life-Threatening Condition: Report

Donald Trump appears to be taking an experimental drug that has only been approved for his use to treat medical conditions that can be fatal, according to a new report that is setting off alarm bells in the medical and political arenas.

Lizzy Lawrence notes in STAT, “Millions of Americans with obesity are eagerly awaiting a powerful new drug from Eli Lilly called retatrutide, which has demonstrated bariatric-surgery levels of weight loss. Some aren’t even waiting for approval from the Food and Drug Administration, instead racing to acquire it through sketchy means.”

“But STAT has learned that Eli Lilly and the FDA have allowed one person to gain access to the drug through the FDA’s ‘compassionate use’ program, a pathway that gives patients with serious and immediately life-threatening medical issues access to experimental treatments.”

Retatrutide is meant to treat the following conditions: Refractory obesity with obstructive sleep apnea and pulmonary hypertension, all of which can be fatal.

Confronted with the fact that the drug had been approved only for a 79-year-old man (Trump turned 80 last week, but was 79 when the approval was granted), the White House was asked if indeed the so-called president was taking the drug. It has yet to respond to the query.

“White House spokesperson Kush Desai directed STAT’s inquiry to the Health and Human Services Department,” Lawrence reported. “In response to STAT’s question about whether Trump has obstructive sleep apnea and pulmonary hypertension, Desai said a White House memo detailing Trump’s most recent medical evaluation ‘covers this.’ The memo makes no mention of obstructive sleep apnea or pulmonary hypertension.”

“HHS spokesperson Emily Hilliard did not address the retatrutide application or the patient’s identity when responding to STAT’s questions.”

All of the intrigue and secrecy set off alarm bells online.

I mean this couldn’t possible be anyone else, right?

I resent how this administration makes me feel like a conspiracy theorist.

Author asks if the patient was Trump — the White House won’t say.

Of course, even if Trump does kick the bucket, we’d still be stuck with JD Vance, and in many ways he’s just as evil and terrifying as the orange semi-corpse he works for.
