Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) wound up sounding like a churlish fool when CNN’s Katilan Collins called him a liar during an interview, and video of the interview is going viral on social media.
During an appearance on “The Source” on Thursday, Collins noted that Jordan had been apoplectic during the Biden administration when the price of gasoline rose to $3 a gallon, but had not criticized Donald Trump, despite the price now hovering near $5 a gallon.
“You were critical when gas was $3.07, when President Biden was in office. If you thought that was bad, what is $4.53?”
“You can’t have that regime getting a nuclear weapon,” Jordan responded. “The president has been clear about that. Secretary of State Rubio has been clear about that. So the president is concerned about the long-term safety of this great country and the citizens who live here. That’s what he’s focused on.”
Collins then played a clip of Jordan slamming “elites” for not caring about the price of gas and reminded the congressman that Trump had promised to get gas below $2 a gallon when during the 2024 presidential campaign.
“That’s life,” Jordan said. “I think the country gets the fundamental fact.”
“Saying ‘that’s life’ might not make (people) feel better,” Collins countered.
“Those are your words, not mine!” Jordan whined.
“No, you said that just now!” Collins reminded the flustered congressman.
Republicans are the biggest hypocrites on planet Earth. They say one thing and do the opposite. And when they get caught doing it, they whine like spoiled children. Every single one of these lying sacks of dung needs to be voted out in November. It’s the only way we’ll ever restore any sanity to this country.
