Attorney General Pam Bondi said something so utterly moronic on Friday during an appearance on Fox News that it wound up getting dubbed as the “dumbest thing ever said” by critics on social media.
Bondi remarked that the Trump administration was focused on “citizenship fraud,” adding that “aggressive denaturalization efforts” are underway by the DOJ.
“Being a citizen in our country is a privilege, not a right. And Donald Trump is going to have everyone in this country who deserves to be here who is a citizen.”

Can someone translate that? Anyone speak turnip?
Within minutes of the clip being posted on Twitter, the comments began pouring in, and almost all of mocked Bondi.
If true, get this disloyal anti-democracy moron on the first deportation boat for White Trash Island

What the fuck is that supposed to even mean? Of fucking course it's a right if you're a citizen. That's the dumbest fucking thing anyone has ever said on Fox, and there's some pretty dumb competition.

@pambondi – Working for Trump has seriously stultified your brain, so I'll remind you:

US citizenship is considered a fundamental right for those born in the country under the 14th Amendment, not merely a privilege.
If you don't know the 14th Amendment, why are you in this job…
Actually is a fucking right!!! Bitch. Attorney General doesn’t even know the fkn constitution

Actually being a citizen is a right. Being President is a privilege.

Given the Admin's position on birthright citizenship, it's hard not to see this as a direct message to the Supreme Court.

Calling citizenship a 'privilege' kinda/sorta/definitely ignores how the Constitution works.

If you’re a citizen, that's a protected right – full stop, not something a president gets to hand out or take away based on who they think 'deserves' it.
The US Constitution would like a word as the Founding Fathers rolll over…

Pam Bondi is an idiot. And considering that she’s the most powerful law enforcement official in the country, she’s also a threat to everything it means to be an American.
