Shocking Poll Suggests Lindsey Graham Is About To Be Swept Away In Midterm Blue Wave

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has been a senator for 24 years, but a new poll out of his home state suggests that he may be forced into an early retirement.

An Impact Research poll shows Graham only three points ahead of his Democratic opponent, Dr. Annie Andrews, and with a dismal approval rating of just 40 percent, according to a report from The Daily Beast.

Andrews says the poll shouldn’t surprise anyone.

“Lindsey Graham has been in politics since I was in the eighth grade, and people are sick of these career politicians.”

“Casual observers are pretty disgusted by Lindsey Graham’s behavior; imagine how South Carolinians feel. That’s exactly what this poll reflects.”

Andrews, a 45-year-old pediatrician and mom of three children, has made three messages the centerpiece of her campaign: Affordability, healthcare, and “Washington dysfunction.”

Graham, on the other hand, has never been married and has no children, which has led to rumors that he’s secretly gay and afraid to come out of the closet because he knows it would be the kiss of death in a state as conservative as South Carolina.

A closer look at the Impact Research poll also reveals that Graham has an unfavorable rating of 57%, which could be the kiss of death for an incumbent who has repeatedly beat the drums for an expanded war with Iran and across the Middle East.

Shortly after the war with Iran began, Graham remarked, “I go back to South Carolina, I’m asking them to send their sons and daughters over to the Mideast.”

The fact that Donald Trump won’t be on the ballot in November is also a problem for Graham, Andrews noted.

“There’s a lot of Donald Trump supporters in South Carolina who will only get out and vote if Donald Trump is on the ballot, and Lindsey Graham is not going to have that luxury this time,” she said.

“We are running a South Carolina First campaign, an America First campaign, and to me this really isn’t just about flipping the Senate seat blue, it’s about returning the Senate seat to the people of South Carolina.”

The time has come to retire Lady Lindsey and send him packing.
