Former Aide: Trump Has Terrifying Agenda Ready If GOP Loses Midterm Elections

If, as expected, Congressional Republicans lose control of the House (and possibly the Senate) in the November midterm elections, it will likely result in impeachment proceedings against so-called “President” Donald Trump, which would mean his domestic agenda of destruction would come to a halt.

However, in the area of foreign policy, Trump would probably kick off several more wars with various countries that would further isolate the United States and lead to massive losses of both blood and treasure that could cripple the nation and endanger the world order.

That’s the dire warning from Miles Taylor, who served in a senior role at the Department of Homeland Security under both the Bush and Trump administrations.

In an article he published today in The i Paper, Taylor writes, “The odds are now that he loses the US House.”

“He may even lose the Senate. He will almost certainly be impeached and, after the elections, Trump will be distracted, embattled and very likely humiliated. If history is any guide, he will respond angrily and set his sights abroad.”

Taylor explains that his predictions are based on how Trump responded to losing the 2018 midterm elections. In the months after that electoral bloodbath for the GOP, aides were summoned to “secret meetings” filled with “brazen and unethical” plans to obstruct Democrats.

“We were told to deny information requests, delay inquiries, and prepare to defy subpoenas,” Taylor recalled. “The White House offered to assign auxiliary lawyers to each of our agencies to fight the coming barrage of investigations. If Democrats wanted documents in their corruption probes, they would get the middle finger.”

Though he resigned in protest of Trump’s authoritarian actions, Taylor notes that it was clear what Donald had in mind for the second half of his term.

“With his hands tied at home, he put his foot down abroad.”

“Against our protestations, he harassed America’s allies, who baulked at Trump’s schemes, and cozied up to longtime US foes, who appeared to relish watching a wannabe strongman doing their work for them by chipping away at American democracy and alliances. He became, in plain language, a belligerent bully on the world stage.”

Knowing he cannot run for office again, Taylor expects Trump to resort to what can only be called presidential terrorism.

“I’m talking about the most powerful man in the world searching for new countries to invade, exploring fresh ways to monetize his influence, teasing genocide and nuclear strikes and toying with breaking the global order that emerged from the great wars.”

“He’s not shied away from any of this in his first year back. With more time on his hands, he’ll lay waste to what remains of the Western institutions and alliances that have kept the free world standing.”

If you place any value on order and stability in the United States and across the world, it’s in your best interests to vote Democratic in November. Some constraints could be placed on Trump’s insane plans if there is oversight and the threat of removing him from the presidency.

However, if we give Trump and his GOP enablers another two years in power, we may well lose the United States and destroy the world in the process.
