Trump’s Approval Rating Dips To A New Low As His Administration Implodes

When historians look back years from now, they might point to today as the moment that the second Trump administration officially began circling the drain.

Why? Well, based on new polling data, the American people have had more than enough of the so-called president and his failed policies on the economy, foreign policy, national security, and every other issue that matters most to voters, The Daily Beast explains.

“A CNBC poll of 1,000 people nationwide, conducted between April 15-19, shows that Trump’s job approval stands at 40 percent, while 58 percent disapprove.”

“That puts his net approval at -18, a 10-point fall from the previous quarter and the worst recorded during either of his presidencies.”

“Approval also fell to record lows among Democrats and independents, but the most striking shift came within his own party.”

Yes, even the once rock-solid GOP is crumbling, with some of Trump’s former defenders saying the’ve had enough of his fecklessness, as support among non-MAGA Republicans plummeted 19 points to 60 percent, which doesn’t bode well for Trump or the party he controls with the midterm elections now just seven months away.

Trump’s overall approval on the economy has dipped, dropping to a mere 39 percent approval and whopping 60 percent disapproval, which suggests that most Americans are sick and tired of rising inflation and higher gas prices thanks to the Iran war, which many say was a monumental mistake.

Jay Campbell, a partner at Hart Research, noted, “It’s hard to imagine a set of policies that could be proposed and implemented between now and Election Day that would have a material enough impact on the American people that they would say, ‘Actually this guy is doing pretty good with the economy.’″

The good news, of course, is that if Democrats do retake control of Congress, there will finally be some measure of accountabilty and even the chance that Trump could be impeached for the third time.

Karma has arrived for Donald Trump, and it’s biting the hell out of him.
