Kaitlan Collins Says Trump’s First Act Since Disastrous Midterms Is ‘Notable’

Just hours after it became clear that he and the party he has taken over like a political leech had been humiliated in the midterm elections, Donald Trump signed an executive order that would keep future presidents from reversing any of the tacky alterations he’s made to the Oval Office.

“It’s so notable that this is the first executive order the president has signed since the midterm elections,” Collins told Jake Tapper.

“Yesterday, his first appearance after the midterm elections, after those huge losses that have left his party grappling for what the next steps for them are going to look like here in Washington, was at the site of the ballroom construction,” she said.

“And so it just kind of shows you where the president’s mindset is in all of this,” Collins added.

Republicans, on the other hand, are asking for some direction after the shellacking they took at the polls, Collins noted, “A lot of them are voicing anger about how he’s handled the economy and the future of the Iran war, which right now has no end in sight.”

Tapper questioned whether Trump is trying to keep his successor from removing the gold decorations he has installed in the Oval Office.

Collins replied that it does indeed appear Trump wants to prevent any future presidents from altering the changes he’s made, but his order could easily be overturned by the courts or simple ignore by another president.

“Yeah, that’s exactly what will happen,” Tapper predicted.

Trump’s dismal taste in interior decorating is straight out of the Liberace school of too much is never enough. Here’s hoping the next president will indeed restore the people’s house to class and decency.
