Trump Wants To Give Iran $20 Billion In Ransom To End The War He Started: Report

Now that he’s declaring his foolhardy war with Iran is almost at an end, Donald Trump is also seriously considering giving the Iranian government $20 billion in what can only be called a ransom payment so they’ll agree to cease all hostilities and hand over all of their enriched uranium, which the U.S. has failed to locate, even though Trump said that was the reason he attacked in the first place.

That’s the scoop from Axios, which reports that the administration is considering releasing $20 billion in frozen Iranian funds.

“A top priority for the Trump administration is ensuring Iran can’t access the stockpile of nearly 2,000kg of enriched uranium buried in its underground nuclear facilities, in particular the 450kg enriched to 60% purity.”

“The Iranians, meanwhile, need money.”

“The parties are negotiating over what will happen to the stockpile, and how much of Iran’s assets will be unfrozen. They are also discussing the terms on which Iran could use that money.”

You may recall that in 2015, the Obama administration secured a plan that was designed to keep Iran from enriching Uranium. But when Trump took office during his first term, he promptly tore up the deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). As a result of that action, Iran went back to enriching uranium to bomb-grade levels.

Trump has also railed at the Obama administration for unfreezing $1.6 billion in frozen Iranian funds, and yet he now dares to suggest that the U.S. hand another $20 billion to a government he has repeatedly said cannot be trusted.

Dementia Donnie’s latest flip-flop didn’t sit well with many, who lambasted the administration for its flip-flopping and blatant hypocrisy.

Could it be any clearer that the United States, with Donald Trump as president, is the laughingstock of the world?
