Fox host Laura Ingraham humiliatingly proved her ignorance (and her whiteness) last night on her show during a discussion of a new initiative from the Trump administration, and was quickly swatted down by her own staff and later by viewers on social media.
Noting that rap star Nicki Minaj had been present as Donald Trump formally announced the creation of infant savings accounts (i.e. Trump Accounts), Ingraham told her guest, Sen. Bernie Marino (R-OH), “Nicki Minaj and Donald Trump. Now, conservatives, including myself, were beyond disgusted by some of her lyrics in her songs over the years.”
“‘WAP,’ I won’t say what that stands for,” she added.
Apparently receiving a correction from her staff via her earpiece, Ingraham was forced to correct her mistake.
“That’s Cardi B. Oh, that’s how bad I am. That’s Cardi B. Thank you, Sam,” she said.
