Having already slagged the victim of an ICE shooting in Minneapolis as a “domestic terrorist,” the Trump administration — in the person of the so-called “president” himself — is now suggesting that blame for the death of Renee Nicole Good at the hands of an ICE agent belongs to previous presidents and their immigration policies.
Speaking with the New York Times, Trump began by repeating a lie he started circulating hours after Good was gunned down, suggesting that she “behaved horribly. And then she ran him over. She didn’t try to run him over. She ran him over.”
When reporters for the Times noted that the video didn’t show Good running over anyone, Trump huffed and declared, “I’ll play the tape for you right now.”
However, when the video was played, Trump began walking back his earlier statement.
After the clip ended, Trump said, “Well… I – the way I look at it…”
And then came the usual Trumpian pivot in which he attempted to blame everyone else for his own failures and shortcomings, whining that the policies of his predecessors had led to the cold-blooded murder of Good, a 37-year-old mother of three children.
But the ICE agent who murdered Rene Good wasn’t hired by George W. Bush, Barack Obama, or Joe Biden. He was an employee of the Trump administration and had the blessings of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who should have already been handed her walking papers by Trump.
There can be no doubt about whose hands are stained with Renee Nicole Good’s blood: Donald John Trump. And that alone is proof that he’s unfit for office and needs to be removed from the presidency as soon as possible.
