Little Marco Fumbles When Asked What Legal Authority The US Has To ‘Run’ Venezuela

Secretary of State Marco Rubio got defensive and tried to dodge questions about what legal authority the United States has to run the nation of Venezuela now that his boss, Donald Trump, has decided to make the South American nation a part of the United States’ empire, giving away the game when it comes to the flimsy rationale the administration has for their latest military excursion.

During an appearance on “This Week With George Stephanopoulos,” Rubio was asked “under what legal authority” Trump and the U.S. could “run” another country.

Rather than reply to the query, Rubio suggested the military action would keep Venezuela from serving as “the crossroads for many of our adversaries around the world, including Iran and Hezbollah.”

“Let me ask the question again,” Stephanopoulos pressed. “What is the legal authority for the United States to be running Venezuela?”

Rubio weakly attempted to reiterate his previous argument and finally blurted out, “As far as what our legal authority is… it’s very simple, we have court orders! I don’t know, is a court not a legal authority? The legal authority is the court orders that we have!”

An order from a U.S. court has zero validity when it comes to regime change or an attack on a another sovereign nation. No American court can or would authorize seizing control of another country, nor would any court or judge issue such a ruling because it would immediately be struck down on appeal.

Little Marco and Dementia Don are in way over their heads, and they know it. Now we get to sit back and watch and they screw up another country as badly as they’re eviscerating the United States.
