Considering how often he made fun of former President Joe Biden’s mental acuity, it seems fair to ask the following question about the current head of state, Donald Trump: Is Donnie in the latter stages of full-blown dementia?
According to a report from Axios, California Gov. Gavin Newsom was struck by how badly Trump struggles to understand even the most basic concepts or follow a line of thought during a phone call.
“He [Trump] is not the same person that I dealt with just four years ago, and he’s incapable of even a train of thought,” Newsom told Fox LA.
He added, “He’s lost it.”
Newsom followed up those comments with a social media post:
There was no call. Not even a voicemail.

Americans should be alarmed that a President deploying Marines onto our streets doesn’t even know who he’s talking to. https://t.co/y7TJUhUZGI
It seems fair to have this conversation, especially since Trump was constantly attacking Biden for the same thing, don’t you think?
Maybe we need to face a larger issue that should be discussed: Age limits for U.S. presidents and members of Congress. What age would be a good cutoff? 65? 70? Seems like 70 would be the safest, but of course, it also depends on the person and their overall physical and mental health.
Donald Trump is not in good mental health, and it goes far beyond the fact that he’s a massive asshole and a bully. He simply doesn’t make sense a lot of the time, and we need to keep that in mind, no matter what he says or does, because it could all be a function of his deteriorating mental condition.
Also, Trump is going to get worse with each passing day. He’ll be 79 on Saturday, and if he cannot even follow a train of thought during a phone conversation, are we comfortable with him having control of the nuclear arsenal? I’m not.
