It’s no secret that Republicans are obsessed with Donald Trump and absolutely love doing things to curry favor with the Felon-in-Chief.
But a change in the budget bill that managed to pass the House by one vote last night may wind up going down in history as the most blatantly obsequious and slavishly craven thing to ever make it into a piece of federal legislation.
“Critics are giving a thumbs-down to a Republican plan to honor President Donald Trump by naming a program for babies after him,” according to a report from HuffPost.
“The program that would give each newborn a special savings account pre-loaded with $1,000 was initially called’“money account for growth and advancement, aka MAGA, Trump’s longtime slogan.”
However, at the last moment the accounts were changed from MAGA accounts to “Trump accounts.”
Nah, it’s not a cult.

That was all it took for many on social media to dub the change creepy and yet another sign that Trumpism is a mental disorder.
Why not call it united States of Trump

These people have no shame with how much they worship him

This is so incredibly creepy.

I have absolutely no doubt if allowed to remain in office, Trump's ultimate goal would be to name the US, the United States of Trump. That's his brand. He hasn't built anything in years. Just sells his name. Then, of course, he'll charge us for his trademark.

They know damn well why they renamed it in honor of Dear Leader but are too much of cowards to admit it. Again, the "don't call us a cult" crowd is doing cult things.
