Does The Perfect Metaphor For Trump’s First 100 Days Exist? It Does Now

To what shall we compare the first 100 days of the second Trump administration?

Might it be compared to a root canal? Yes. A bad case of hemorrhoids? Also accurate. A migraine that will not cease? That’s valid.

It would seem there’s no perfect metaphor for the clusterf**k we’ve witnessed over the past 3+ months, if only because so many that apply and are almost certain to draw a nod of assent.

So the good folks at “The Daily Show” thought they’d take up the challenge and formulate their own metaphor.

Spoiler alert: They freaking nailed it!

Host Jordan Klepper began by explaining there was already debate as what the 100th of the Trump administration would be. Some said Tuesday, April 29, others claimed Wednesday, the 30th, which led him to note, “Oh, my God. This is how divided we’ve become under Trump. We can’t even agree on how counting works.”

“It’s hard to think of a better metaphor for how the first 100 days have gone — but, here’s one,” he admitted.

Video of a U.S. fighter jet falling off an American aircraft carrier was then aired, with Klepper sarcastically exclaiming, “Oh, no, no, no. America’s doing great. We’re doing great.”

Looks like Trump’s “golden age” of the United States is just as moldy as what he calls his brain. Oh, and it smells just as bad, too.

As metaphors go, this one is absolutely perfect.
