Donald Trump’s Sanctimonious Easter Eve Message Backfires Badly On Him

He couldn’t resist, but he should have.

As Christians across the world prepare to celebrate Easter on Sunday, Donald Trump thought he’d do his best impression of a spiritual person with a posting he made on social media.

“As we approach this joyous Easter Sunday, I want to wish Christians everywhere a happy, and beautiful, and blessed holiday,” Trump began.

“America is a nation of believers. We need God. We want God. And with His help, we will make our nation stronger.”

Make our nation stronger? That’s a laugh! Right now, this country is a half-step away from a full-blown recession and on the verge of the biggest Constitutional crisis in U.S. history, all because Trump refuses to follow the law and uses the same economic policy of tariffs and a trade war that led the country into the Great Depression.

And then there’s the matter of a rapist and serial sex offender using the name of God to cloak his massive transgressions in fake piety. It’s enough to make people abandon organized religion completely.

While the MAGA faithful dutifully praised Trump for pretending to be holy, not everyone was buying the act.
