Trump Breaks The Irony Meter With A Question That Backfires Badly On Him

After he paused the trade tariffs that had sent the stock market into a swoon and threatened to completely wreck the world economy, Donald Trump tried to suggest that his “strategy” had been brilliantly executed and resulted in exactly the outcome he had planned all along.

Not long after the tariffs were put on hold for 90 days, the Dow Jones and NASDAQ averages rose sharply, with the Dow closing up nearly 3000 points for the day.

Speaking with reporters in the Oval Office, Trump asked rhetorically, “How do you get to be president and you’re stupid?”

Um, isn’t that the very question we’ve all been asking since this clown was elected the first time in 2016? It’s being asked even more frequently these days and undoubtedly will be on everyone’s lips hundreds of times in the days ahead.

The irony of Trump’s query drew a bevy of replies on social media.
