As he does to literally everyone — friends, family, co-workers — Donald Trump has now turned on his own vice president, JD Vance, and suggested that JD will be to blame if high-stakes talks between the Veep and Iranian officials fail to resolve the ongoing impasse between the two nations.
In a Saturday social media post, Trump wrote:
“The Fake News Media has lost total credibility, not that they had any to begin with. Because of their massive Trump Derangement Syndrome (Sometimes referred to as TDS!), they love saying that Iran is ‘winning’ when, in fact, everyone knows that they are LOSING, and LOSING BIG! Their Navy is gone, their Air Force is gone, their Anti Aircraft apparatus is nonexistent, Radar is dead, their Missile and Drone Factories have been largely obliterated along with the Missiles and Drones themselves and, most importantly, their longtime “Leaders” are no longer with us, praise be to Allah! The only thing they have going is the threat that a ship may ‘bunk’ into one of their sea mines which, by the way, all 28 of their mine dropper boats are also lying at the bottom of the sea. We’re now starting the process of clearing out the Strait of Hormuz as a favor to Countries all over the World, including China, Japan, South Korea, France, Germany, and many others. Incredibly, they don’t have the Courage or Will to do this work themselves. Very interestingly, however, empty Oil carrying ships from many Nations are all heading to the United States of America to LOAD UP with Oil. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

The Fake News Media is CRAZY, or just plain CORRUPT! The United States has completely destroyed Iran’s Military, including their entire Navy and Air Force, and everything else.…
The problem with Trump’s social media rant is that it completely undermines what little credibility Vance might have had as he tries to negotiate the issues between the U.S. and Iran. It also reveals that no matter what Vance and other American negotiators might work out with their Iranian counterparts, Trump has already made up his mind and is more than willing to tear up any agreement Vance might make.
Vance, it should be noted, has not exactly been a vocal cheerleader for Trump’s Iran folly.
While the VP has suggested that Iran can never possess uranium that could one day be enriched for a nuclear weapon, Trump’s other negotiators — Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner — have said they are open to the idea of supplying Iran with uranium that would be purposed for “civilian use.”
Such conflicting agendas don’t exactly strengthen Vance’s hand, and it seems Trump is so busy micromanaging his emissaries to Iran that they have been boxed in as they attempt to make a deal.
Donald Trump has long bragged about being “the great dealmaker.” But as he’s proving by sending Vance to peace talks with little more than the clothes on his back, he’s a failure and couldn’t sell air conditioners in the Sahara desert.
