Fearmongering Vance Claims Iran May Detonate Nuclear Suicide Vests In US Supermarkets

During today’s cabinet meeting (a.k.a. Trump administration ass-kissing session), Vice President JD Vance suggested that the United States had to attack Iran because if we hadn’t, they might have sent terrorists with nuclear suicide vests to detonate those weapons in U.S. supermarkets.

“What we have now that we didn’t have when the president took over just a little over a year ago is the ability to use every tool at our disposal to ensure that Iran doesn’t get a nuclear weapon,” Vance claimed. “Because when I say options, I think it’s important the American people know, options, and it’s options to ensure that Iran never has a nuclear weapon.”

“You talk about people who walk into a crowded supermarket and have a vest on, for what? And they blow up the vest, and a couple of people get killed, and that’s a terrible tragedy. What happens when what’s on the vest, it’s not something that can kill a couple of people but can kill many, many tens of thousands of people?” he added.

“That is the most important American national security objective that exists for any administration at any time is you don’t want the worst people in the world to have a nuclear weapon.”

Ironically, this is the same sort of gloom and doom talk the administration of George W. Bush used in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq in 2003. No nuclear materials or other weapons of mass destruction were ever found in Iraq, despite repeated warnings from the Bush White House. Why? Because Iraq had no such weapons or their precursors.

There’s no tangible proof that Iran had nukes, either, despite what Trump administration officials and Israel claim. And didn’t Trump also brag that he had “obliterated” Iranian nuclear facilities during an American air strike in June of last year? If they were destroyed, why the need to attack again?

Anyone anywhere with access to the proper explosives and training can rig up a suicide vest. But a nuclear one? That’s not even within the realm of possibility for Iran.

Vance’s fearmongering is the surest sign yet that the Iran war was all about doing the bidding of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu while simultaneously changing the subject from the Epstein files.

No matter how Trump and his cult members try to spin the Iran war, it was all about it being a matter of choice, not national security.
