Influential Investor Slams Trump’s Tariffs As A ‘Disaster Of Idiocy’

Though you may never have heard of him, Ross Gerber, the CEO of Gerber Kawasaki Wealth and Investment Management, is one of the most important and influential high-stakes investors in the world.

One of the companies Gerber is heavily invested in just so happens to be Tesla, which is owned by unelected POTUS Elon Musk.

But while Musk may be BFFs with Donald Trump, Gerber says Trump’s new tariffs are foolhardy and a “disaster of idiocy.”

Speaking with CNN host Laura Coates, Gerber complained, “I don’t worry too much about tomorrow. I worry about the short, medium, and long term with these policies. So, tomorrow is just, you know, a little bit of appetizer for what could be horrendously worse because the U.S. markets are certainly not cheap by any standard, and we went from almost an ideal market environment over the last year or two to now complete and utter sort of destruction of the system of trade that we’ve had for a very long time, that has benefited America greatly with lower prices! That’s the whole reason that this is set up the way it is.”

“But, you know, I was just thinking about it and I’ve studied this for over 30 years, and I want to try to, you know, reassure people that things are going to be OK,” Gerber added. “But, honestly, this is just a disaster of idiocy that I can’t even tell you beyond proportions.”

A disaster of idiocy. That may well be how history will record both of Trump’s terms in the White House. And it may also be the most accurate description of everything Donald has said and done for his entire life. Unfortunately, we all have to pay for his stupidity, and it may take a second Great Depression for the MAGA faithful to finally dump him.
