Melania Trump Brags About Securing A ‘Ceasefire’ In Ukraine That Neither Side Confirms

First Lady Melania Trump announced on social media this morning that she had managed to secure a ceasefire in Ukraine, but when details of the so called “agreement” trickled out, it soon became clear her claim is not only limited to only one town, but may not exist at all based on what both Ukraine and Russia said about the announcement.

Russia and Ukraine, it should be noted, have not confirmed the agreement.

The White House also made a statement on the alleged ceasefire:

“First Lady Melania Trump successfully secured a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, localized to the city of Oleshky. Both nations agreed to temporarily stop all military action in Oleshky to allow for humanitarian aid to enter and to prepare a civilian evacuation through a designated safe passageway.”

“The localized ceasefire will begin on October 29, 2026.”

“The situation in Oleshky is dire. Oleshky is a front-line war city on the brink of disaster.  Oleshky’s remaining population is comprised primarily of elderly residents who urgently need medical attention, medicine, food, and clean water,” said First Lady Melania Trump. “The people of Oleshky have limited electricity, live amid mined roads, and endure regular military attacks. It was abundantly clear that without my intervention, the possibility to bring humanitarian aid into the city and to evacuate the elderly would be impossible.”

You would think that if such a ceasefire had been achieved, the two nations at war would also be issuing statements, yet there is no word from either, which leads one to believe the First Lady’s office may have to walk back the celebration.

The announcement was also met with skepticism online.

After the midterms are over, maybe Melania can be the next Secretary of State. She couldn’t be much worse than Marco Rubio.
