Deranged Donnie Says The US Doesn’t Need ‘Hot Tamales’ From Mexico

Even though it’s been said and thought countless times since Donald Trump returned to the White House two years ago, it bears repeating: The man’s brain is absolute mush, and the things he says are nothing short of deranged, erratic, and downright terrifying.

Take, for example, comments the Criminal-in-Chief made regarding cutting off trade with every nation in the world as part of his ongoing hissy fit with Canada.

Friday at the White House, Trump said he would explain trade to a reporter who had asked a question on the topic.

“We could do tremendous good for ourselves by just not trading with countries,” he said. “We lose, with the European Union, $200 billion a year. If I didn’t trade with them, we’d lose nothing.”

But it was what Trump said next that raised the most concern.

“Just one swipe of the pen. We lose, with Mexico, $195 billion a year. If I don’t trade with Mexico, they have nothing that we have to have. I mean, Hot Tamales, tomatoes, a couple of things. But basically, they have nothing that we need.”

“Canada would be in a heap of trouble. I don’t think they’d exist.”

First of all, let’s get this fact-check out of the way: Hot Tamales are actually a candy produced in the United States. Yes, there are also actual hot tamales made in Mexico, but there are plenty of Mexican restaurants in the U.S. where you can buy them.

Let’s face it: Donald has lost what was left of his already addled mind, and those who heard his comments were eager to offer their takes.

Yeah, let’s just cut off trade with Canada and Mexico and throw the world economy into a second Great Depression. What a brilliant idea!

We need an electoral Blue Wave in November. The Orange Menace has to be removed from office.
