MAGA Republican Slammed For Hateful Letter She Sent To Fourth Grader

Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) is the sort of pro-Trump extremist who thinks that anyone who dares to ask her a question has a hidden agenda, even when the person asking the question is a 10-year-old boy working on a class assignment.

Greensboro, North Carolina, fourth grader Christian Mango and his classmates were given a project for class: Write an essay on a subject in the news and send it to someone in a position of power who could act on the request, Mediaite reported.

“Christian explained that he chose to write to Foxx to urge her to support giving people rebates for purchasing electric vehicles. His mother, Emily Mango, said the topic was chosen by her son.”

But Congresswoman Foxx decided that instead of encouraging Christian, she’d accuse him of being gullible, responding, “What many folks do not realize is that the money that ‘comes from’ the federal government actually comes from ordinary citizens who pay taxes to support that government. Therefore, your request that ‘the federal government should give a $5,000 tax rebate for all new electric car purchases’ means that the federal government must take that money out of the pockets of hardworking people who may not have the means to buy an electric vehicle in the first place.”

Then she accused him of being brainwashed.

“Please ask your teacher to explain propaganda to you,” Foxx advised the kid. “My guess is that your teachers will not give you a good educational experience and help you learn to think as they are too interested in indoctrinating you.”

Emily Mango said she read Foxx’s hateful letter and found it “horrific.”

“Reprehensible response. You crossed a line when you attacked a child and attacked teachers. You don’t deserve to be on a Committee for Education when you talk to children like this and think so lowly of teachers.”

Christian was also flummoxed by the way Foxx reacted.

“I think that was wrong,” he said, “because the school didn’t do anything.”

Here’s more on the story from WGHP:

While Foxx’s actions are indeed disgusting and deplorable, they aren’t the least bit surprising. Much like the evil sack of dung they worship — Donald Trump — they think the ideal response to anything that makes them uncomfortable or challenges their worldview is to attack, belittle, and prove their own massive insecurity.

The Age of Trump is a cancer on this country. We need to start excising that malignancy at the ballot box in November.
