As the midterm elections draw closer with each day, Donald Trump’s favorability rating continues to plunge to historic lows in the latest polls, and some of the so-called president’s most ardent supporters have a message for him: The time has come for you to leave office.
Rich Beeby, is a registered Republican in Strongsville, Ohio, and he spoke with NBC’s Jonathan Allen on Tuesday, making it clear he is less than happy about how things are going inside the GOP and the country.
“Hopefully it finds its way,” Beeby said.
“If you could say something to President Trump right now, what would you say?” Allen asked.
“Resign,” Beeby replied. “You’re destroying the country.”
More and more Republicans are coming to the same conclusion, with multiple focus groups complaining that Trump seems more interested in enriching himself than doing what’s best for the United States.
The ongoing conflict with Iran is incredibly unpopular with voters, and economic anxiety continues to plague the majority of Americans.
Could the long-predicted Blue Wave be even larger than we thought? That seems likely, considering that Trump’s own voters now want him to leave office.
