Donald Trump loves hot dogs so much that he often stops at the 11th tee box snack stand of his golf club in Virginia to enjoy one.
And now we’re learning that Trump has found a way to further enrich himself while gorging himself on hot dogs and pretending to be a caring, generous boss by also ordering hot dogs for members of his Secret Service detail.
Oh, and one other thing: Trump then bills the Secret Service for their frankfurters, meaning that you and I as taxpayers are funding his fake generosity.
“He has this weird, very odd pride about how good the hot dogs are,” a former club employee told Forbes. “The chef has to be out there. And he’s like, ‘Chef, get everyone a hot dog—all these guys.’”
Keep in mind that the Secret Service has already seen $352 million of its funding redirected to to help pay for Donnie’s cherished White House ballroom/Fuhrer bunker. Every dime of it came from our tax dollars, and Trump is only getting started when it comes to having us pay for his flamboyant extravagances, which also include an arch reminiscent of the ones Adolf Hitler built to honor his military victories in World War II.
It might also interest you to know that Trump’s golf outings over the past two years have cost at least $71 million, and as much as he loves to putter around on the green, that figure will continue to rise and likely exceed the $300 million he spent on golf during his first term in office.
As if that’s not bad enough, Trump also charges the Secret Service (and every American taxpayer) to stay at his hotels when he travels to New York or other locations where he owns properties.
All of this raises enough red flags to merit a thorough investigation by Congress, but the current House and Senate is controlled by Republicans, who are terrified of defying the Grifter-in-Chief on any issue whatsoever, even when it involves the blatant theft of taxpayer money.
Hopefully, when the midterm elections are concluded, Democrats will retake control of Congress and perform their oversight duties. And if they find criminal actions by Trump, they need to impeach him and remove him from office.
