Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel had better hope they have excellent attorneys, according to a former Trump administration adviser, because their absurd prosecution of former FBI chief James Comey reeks of payback and is likely to lead to both of them doing time in prison when Dementia Donnie leaves office.
Miles Taylor, who was Homeland Security Chief of Staff, made that prediction today during an appearance on MS NOW, noting, “They should not be worried about whether the James Comey charges stick – they won’t, this is a fake case, these are false charges.”
“What they should be worried about is whether any of them engaged in criminal conduct to bring these charges. I’m as serious as a heart attack about this; deprivation of rights, selective vindictive prosecution… these are things that are illegal and unconstitutional,” he added.
Comey was indicted for the second time this week on felony counts of threats against the president and interstate communications of threats for an Instagram posting he made in May of 2025, which showed seashells on a beach that spelled out the message, “86 47.” According to the Justice Department, the message was a threat on Donald Trump’s life.
“Anyone who’s in that chain of these decisions, they should be worried about, in a future administration, could they be charged for having violated James Comey’s rights intentionally and deliberately?” Taylor continued.
“This is about revenge, this is about retribution, that’s why the case is going to fall apart, but that’s also why it’s not going to be forgotten after this because the process that led to it is potentially suspicious from a criminal standpoint.”
How ironic would it be if Blanche and Patel were indeed hit with federal criminal charges once Trump is no longer president? That would be exactly the karma the two smarmy bootlickers deserve.
