As Donald Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and the entire Department of Justice continue to restrict access to all of the files related to late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, those very same records appear to now be in the hands of a foreign hacker, according to a startling report from Reuters.
“A foreign hacker compromised files relating to the FBI’s investigation of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during a break-in at the bureau’s New York Field Office three years ago, according to a source familiar with the matter and recently published Justice Department documents reviewed by Reuters.”
“The details of who accessed a server at the FBI’s New York Field Office, including the allegation that a foreign hacker was involved, are being reported here for the first time.”
Jon Lindsay, a researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology, explained that files related to Epstein and his ties to powerful people across the globe are certain to be of great interest to many entities.
“Who wouldn’t be going after the Epstein files if you’re the Russians or somebody interested in kompromat? If foreign intelligence agencies are not thinking seriously about the Epstein files as a target, then I would be shocked.”
Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) said the Reuters report shows how important it is for Trump’s Justice Department to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was passed last fall by an overwhelming majority of both houses of Congress.
“A foreign hacker likely has the Epstein Files,” Lieu warned on social media. “The best way to prevent blackmail of government officials, such as Trump and Howard Lutnick, would be for AG Pam Bondi to stop the cover-up and release all the Epstein Files as required by law.”

Ironically, the foreign hacker stumbled onto the Epstein files by accident and even had contact with the FBI.
“The source said bureau officials defused the situation by convincing the hacker that they actually were the FBI, in part by having the hacker join a video chat where they flashed their law enforcement credentials in front of a web camera.”
This new reporting could wind up being very bad news for Trump as his poll numbers continue to crater and he tries to change the subject from Epstein to anything else, with some even suggesting the White House agreed to attack Iran as a way to get the Epstein issue off the front pages of newspapers across the country.
Of course, if the hacker made a copy of the files he found on the FBI server, he or she might have a way of bringing down the Trump administration. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens in the days ahead.
