Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) people shouldn’t listen to or take Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) seriously because she’s become “very liberal” and no one should “spend much time worrying about” what she has to say.
Appearing on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Cruz slammed Greene.
“What I’ve found is that whenever an elected official decides that they are going to turn on Israel and hate Israel, you will very quickly see every other policy out of their mouth become very, very liberal,” Cruz declared. “And so, suddenly, Marjorie is for massive government spending and taxes and open borders and amnesty.”
Greene has indeed been critical of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and even declared in July that the crisis in Gaza qualifies as “genocide.”
More recently, Greene has also chided her GOP colleagues in Congress for their failure to address the dramatic rise in health care premiums expected for policies obtained through the Affordable Care Act, demanding on social media that Republicans release their plan for making health insurance less expensive. Provided, that is, they actually have one.
Greene has also complained that there is rampant misogyny among Republicans.
“There’s a lot of weak Republican men, and they’re more afraid of strong Republican women. So they always try to marginalize the strong Republican women that actually want to do something and actually want to achieve,” she told the Washington Post.
Despite Greene’s comments, however, calling her a liberal is the height of absurdity. After all, this is the same woman who has called for a “national divorce” that would split the United States apart based on politics, writing on social media in 2023, “We need a national divorce. We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government. Everyone I talk to says this. From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrat’s traitorous America Last policies, we are done.”
Marjorie Taylor Greene is a liberal? If so, wouldn’t that make Ted Cruz a fascist? Then again, Teddy would probably relish such a title.
