Comments Donald Trump made Saturday during an campaign rally in Ohio have set off alarm bells and suggest that his health is actually much more fragile than the White House has told the public.
Speaking to supporters, the Octogenarian-in-Chief brought up the subject of Bayer aspirin.
“I love Bayer aspirin, I take an aspirin a day. I don’t know if it works, but psychologically I need it. It thins the hell out of your blood, I guess,” Trump said at his rally Vandalia, Ohio.
“I don’t know if it works or not, but I’ve been doing it for a long time, and here I am, making speeches! Bayer… and I like Bayer aspirin, the little yellow… and I take the big one. You know, they want me to go down to the 80 — I take the 386, I don’t know what the hell it is, it’s a monster.”

Trump continued, “They said, ‘Sir, you don’t need that!’ I said, ‘Do me a favor, I’ve been doing OK for 35 years, leave me alone.’ I’ll switch to the little tiny one, you know, tiny! It doesn’t look right. I’ll switch to that little tiny thing and then something bad will happen.”
“No, I keep taking the big one. They say, ‘Sir, you don’t need that!’ ‘Thank you, doctor, I appreciate it’ — then I order a whole brand new stack of big ones. One of the few things I take is a Bayer aspirin, can you believe it?”
Anyone taking such a large dose of aspirin each day much have a tremendous need for thinner blood, which would lead one to believe that Trump’s blood must be the consistency of motor oil in the Arctic Circle.
As many noted on social media, Trump is risking his own life and the lives of others by endorsing the use of aspirin in such a manner.
Cool.

“Aspirin (salicylate toxicity) is uniquely dangerous to the brain because it disrupts how brain cells generate energy. In high doses, aspirin uncouples oxidative phosphorylation, meaning cells burn through glucose rapidly but produce heat…

Bragging on stage about ignoring your own doctors to take a monster high-dose aspirin for psychological reasons is quite the flex.
Trump talks…
Someone who has to take a full 386 mg dose of aspirin daily has a history of clots and a stroke(s) and is at risk for more.

Taking aspirin is no longer recommended outside a doctor prescribing that course of treatment. 81 mg is more than sufficient in any event—preferably enteric coated. Finally, hearing him say he’s taking a full strength tablet every day makes me happy in ways I simply can’t…

He’s an idiot. Putting his life at risk. And now putting the lives of his supporters at risk. Oh well. https://t.co/SCfnM776ly

Will Donnie even make it to the midterm elections? It certainly sounds like he could croak at any minute. Maybe JD Vance should go ahead and start packing up the stuff in his VP office so he’ll be ready when he gets a promotion.
