Echoing the vibe from George Orwell’s classic novel,1984, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security posted a photo Monday of so-called “President” Donald Trump and inquired of Americans, “Did you remain loyal?”
Here’s the post that appeared on social media:

As you see, Homeland Security was responding to postings made by right-wing social media personality/podcaster Christian Heiens, who referenced a series of victories by the Trump administration over the past few days.
The creepy tone of the DHS posting drew an immediate reaction, and most of it was negative.

Your whole regime is gonna go away in 2 years, 4 months, and 26 days. God knows how many trials and impeachments there will be between now and then, and after.

I don’t have any advice for you

Are you implying everyone has to stay "loyal" to Donald Trump? https://t.co/EOe1vl6XIi

Every bit as loyal as Trump has been to each of his wives.

That mother fucker is supposed to loyal to America, not the other way around you fucking nitwit.

An official U.S. government account posting the president’s face with “DID YOU REMAIN LOYAL?” is genuinely deranged.

DHS is not supposed to operate as a personal fan account or run meme-format loyalty tests for one politician.
Support the enforcement policies if you want. But…
Had to find this because I didn’t think it was real but it is. Our tax dollars paid for this post which seems only to be about trying to scare people who don’t support trump. This is a truly insane and also very stupid moment in American political life. https://t.co/YZdyseJ9JC

That’s more like threatening, no? Either way, it’s a bad bad sign.

Is anyone else getting the feeling that Big Brother is already here?
