It seems to be happening more frequently: Donald Trump will be speaking and suddenly stop mid-sentence, unable to complete his thought, as if it just completely disappeared from his already addled mind.
Speaking Friday in New York, Trump drew another complete mental blank when he was supposed to be endorsing a candidate for New York attorney general.
“(Current AG) Letitia James is essentially a dirty cop,” Trump told the audience. “You have a person running, who I just met today…where the hell are you, Ma’am?”
The ma’am Trump referenced is Saritha Komatireddy, the Republican running against James, who has long been the subject of Trump’s ire because she prosecuted him for fraud.
All of this, according to former Vice President Dick Cheney’s cardiologist Dr. Jonathan Reiner, proves Trump is unfit for office.
“Over the last several months has he really looked like he’s struggled to stay awake during the day,” Reiner wrote in The New York Times. “This very stark abnormality is distinctly abnormal for the president…it’s disturbing to see.”
Trump’s latest verbal gaffe also drew plenty of commentary on social media.
