Mike Rogers, the Republican nominee for Senate in Michigan, is probably wishing the internet wasn’t forever today, because a video he posted on social media over the weekend has resulted in nothing but humiliation and ridicule, with some even suggesting it has already cost him a chance of defeating his Democratic opponent, Abdul El-Sayed.
Sitting next to his wife, Kristi, Rogers plaintively looks into the camera and declares, “The person who won does not represent your values. You have a home with us.”
Be sure to note how angry Kristi Rogers looks. As the old saying goes, If looks could kill.
Both Mike and Kristi look like they’re making a proof of life hostage video, and the online blowback was immediate.
Memo to Mike Rogers: The less voters see of you and your scary-ass wife, the better your chances of winning. You might want to limit your public appearances and stay off social media until November.
