The latest right-wing political figure to be named in the recently released files from the Department of Justice involving the illegal activities of the late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein is none other than a sitting member of the United States Supreme Court.
Associate Justice Clarence Thomas was accused by a woman of sexually assaulting her when she was a child.
Some background: The allegation was sent to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York by a person who claims to be an Epstein victim and said that mobster/hitman Johnny Martorano — who bragged that he had murdered at least 20 people — often said that he was close contact with Thomas.
“John Martorano was the man who raped me and took a picture of me naked and said ‘let’s take a picture for Clarence Thomas,’” the woman recalls.
The woman also claimed that Thomas sexually assaulted her when she was a child.
“This is also in my CIA file because a few people have asked me if I remembered, but I couldn’t remember much of my childhood because I was drugged so much.”
No evidence was provided by the woman to substantiate her accusation against Thomas.
Last August, prosecutor Robert Sobelman forwarded the woman’s allgation to Kristen Warden, who works for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and previously worked for the Justice Department in the Office of the Inspector General.
“Is this the same complainant from the guardians you were drafting?” Warden wrote back.
“Yes, it’s from the same complainant,” Sobelman confirmed in response.
Thomas has never been charged with any crimes and does not appear anywhere else in the recently-released Epstein documents from the DOJ.
It’s important to note that anyone can make an allegation against another person, but such a claim doesn’t constitute evidence of a crime. Thomas has never been charged with any illegal acts.
