Trump Goon Gregory Bovino Tosses Smoke Bomb Into His Own Face

You probably recall that when he ran for president the first time, Donald Trump bragged that he only hires “the best people.”

But based on the people Dementia Don has employed in his two administrations, it’s safe to say the vast majority of people Trump hires are almost as incompetent as him.

Such is the case with Border Patrol commander Gregory Bovino, who has earned comparisons to the infamous Nazi SS commander Heinrich Himmler.

For example, Bovino has:

*Lied during a sworn deposition regarding a 2025 incident where he deployed tear gas against protesters in Chicago.

*Was criticized for overseeing operations where agents allegedly stopped U.S. citizens without cause and pointed guns at off-duty local police officers.

*Was removed from his position as head of the El Centro, California sector, partly due to inappropriate social media posts and concerns over his testimony regarding the border crisis.

And now we have Bovino on video, making a complete fool of himself when he attempts to look tough for the camera as he tosses a smoke bomb at protesters in Minneapolis, The Daily Beast reports.

“Border Patrol commander Gregory Bovino has already been warned by a court about his use of tear gas, so he’s apparently switched to smoke bombs—with mixed results. Bovino, 55, Donald Trump’s most notorious anti-immigration commander, was filmed struggling to deploy a smoke canister in a park in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as federal agents clashed with protesters and legal observers. Having finally worked out how to pull the pin, Bovino appeared to misjudge the wind and received a faceful of green smoke.”

How pathetic do you have to be to use a smoke canister on yourself? In Bovino’s case, all that’s required is being your usual incompetent self, which got him pilloried on social media.

Yeah, Donnie sure can pick ’em, can’t he?
