Turning Point USA (TPUSA) is hosting a four-day conference this weekend in Phoenix, Arizona, and one of the displays attendees can see is a “recreation” of the booth where Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk was shot and killed in September at Utah Valley College.
MS Now correspondent Brandy Zadrozny reports, “This is a recreation of the tent where Charlie Kirk lost his life at Utah Valley University in September, and people are taking selfies with it. You can see all around, people are saying like, ‘For Charlie,’ they’re wearing replicas of the shirt that Charlie Kirk was wearing when he was killed.”
FWIW this cuts off where I say people lining up here are expressing their grief. It might feel macabre but, I don’t know, people in attendance felt they were paying tribute to Charlie and were able to feel close to someone they admired who’d been stolen from them. https://t.co/i6ZavfeIqE

So now we have the group Kirk founded trying to make money off his death? How perverse is that? Enough so that many people expressed their disgust online.
These conservative Christians really need to find Jesus …

This is a religion now and that’s a holy site.

Much of this makes sense when you remember it’s a post-Christian cult. I’m surprised there were no candles.
Not strange but fu*king sick & twisted. I didn’t like Charlie one bit, but I saw him get shot. And it turned my stomach, it was horrible & his kids were front row. Whole thing made me tear up, it was a senseless tragic loss of life. Not a fu*king photo op

Totally Creepy and Morbid. Just another example that TPUSA is a twisted corrupt organization focused on money & political power that will go to any lengths, no matter how distasteful, to get more of it.

Absolutely sinister. This is not remembrance; it is psychological conditioning. By staging unresolved violent imagery as spectacle, audiences are habituated to trauma cues, emotional boundaries are progressively eroded, and shock is systematically normalized.
