Sensing that some members of his administration have already broken the law and could be prosecuted for their crimes, Donald Trump is actively considering “preemptive pardon” for some of his top aides, according to a report from Zeteo.
‘Since he was sworn back into office nearly a year ago, Donald Trump and several administration officials have already informally discussed the idea of preemptively pardoning an array of Trump advisers, policymakers, and others who the president believes will likely be criminally investigated once Democrats are back in power.”
Who might receive a preemptive pardon? The names most often mentioned are Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
“Some of these intra-administration discussions were sparked, sources say, after certain Democrats publicly suggested that the Supreme Court gifted Trump with broad presidential immunity – but that his underlings were not shielded from accountability,” according to Zeteo.
“They’re not always going to be in office,” Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker said in October, referring to the future legal consequences for administration officials.
Pritzker added: “The people who serve for the president, including all the way down to ICE agents, can be held accountable when there’s a change of administration.”
At the rate Trump staffers are blatantly breaking the law, Donnie may have to give a pardon to everyone who has any connection to his administration, and that suggests we are witnessing the most corrupt presidency in U.S. history.
