It may seem odd at first to think that video of a statue being erected in San Francisco could possibly have any connection to Donald Trump or his feckless administration filled with suck-ups and sycophants, but as we’ve learned in the social media age, anything is possible.
The video in question shows a statue entitled “R-EVOLUTION” which had its public unveiling Thursday in the City by the Bay, and at one point of the installation, a worker is seen with his head inside the rump of the figure. See for yourself, courtesy of Brett Meiselas, co-founder of MeidasTouch:
That was all it took for Twitter/X to explode with additional commentary and mockery, with many posters noting that the video is the ideal metaphor for how Trump’s lackeys treat him and his every utterance.
Can life imitate art, or is it the other way around? In the upside-down world Trump has created, it’s impossible to say.
