Over the years since he entered the political scene, there have been numerous reports that Donald Trump has an unmistakable odor that is off-putting and downright disgusting, despite the fact that he’s a self-proclaimed “clean freak” and germophobe.
In his 1997 book The Art of the Comeback, Trump wrote: “I happen to be a clean hands freak. I feel much better after I thoroughly wash my hands, which I do as much as possible.”
Yet, despite he self-professed fastidiousness, those who have interacted with the so-called “president” say he emits a most foul and unpleasant odor, as former GOP Congressman Adam Kinzinger revealed in 2023.
Kinzinger said that the former president has a distinct smell of “armpits, ketchup, a butt and makeup” put into a blender, as if it had been bottled “as a cologne,” adding on Twitter, “I’m genuinely surprised how people close to Trump haven’t talked about the odor. It’s truly something to behold. Wear a mask if you can.”

And we can now add to those reports a comment from Derek Guy, a menswear writer, who has been noting the suits Trump wears on the campaign trail.
“Trump’s suit appears to be part of Jos. A. Bank’s Traveler line,” Guy wrote on Twitter. “The suit is listed as having been made abroad using a wool-polyester-spandex blend. The company describes it as having the ‘ultimate stretch’ and was designed to minimize body odor.”

He added: “I will be thinking of this as I read @DrAllyLouks‘s book on the politics of smell, coming out this May. How are ideas about disgust and smell used to reinforce social prejudices? What does it mean to wear a suit to reduce body odor? Much to think about.”

That led others on social media to weigh in on what Conservative lawyer and frequent Trump critic George Conway called the “ultimate stench.”

Body odor is one thing. We're not dealing with pit stains here.

That suit has nothing to combat a fully loaded diaper.
Makes you proud to be an American and have a president who smells like shit, doesn’t it? So much winning!
