Even though he has no official title or job duties in the current Trump administration, Jared Kushner is frequently sent by his father-in-law, Rapist-in-Chief Donald Trump, to negotiate peace, which is ironic since Kushner is an abject failure as a diplomat, as he as proven time and time again, most recently with the U.S.-Iran conflict.
Fortunately, Kushner is finally being asked the question that others have been asking for some time: Why are you such a terrible negotiator?
Think about it: He was one of the key negotiators in the conflict between the United States and Iran. But the two nations remain at each other’s throats and nothing has been solved.
During a Sunday press conference in Ukraine, Kushner was asked by NBC News Chief Foreign Correspondent why people should have “any confidence” in his ability to bring about an end to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
“Iran, you were involved in those negotiations. The war is still going on. You’ve been involved in several rounds of negotiations in this [Russia-Ukraine] conflict. It’s only getting more intense,” Engel added. “So you’re relaunching negotiations now. What’s the likelihood they will succeed when other negotiations you’ve been involved in have not?”
Kushner’s reply — which lasted for almost five minutes — didn’t exactly inspire confidence.
“These are some of the hardest problem sets in the world, you know, and I think that you have to try and you have to bring to it,” Kushner said. “Obviously, Steve (Witkoff) and I bring different approaches to these things, but we work very well together as partners. But we’re not bringing our approaches. We’re really representing President Trump, and we’re doing it the way that he wants to see these things done.”
“These things take time,” Kushner continued. “These are some of the hardest conflicts. And so, the tone of your question was a little bit like, ‘why haven’t you done every single impossible thing possible?’ We are very honored to be able to have the opportunity to work on these under President Trump’s leadership, and we’re very committed to giving it everything we can.”
Later in the press conference, Kushner continued to spout absolute pablum, letting the world know that he’s little more than than a flunky for his daddy-in-law and would likely be working as a failing investment banker or Wall Street functionary if he wasn’t married to Ivanka.
“We have been doing everything we can to try and find a way out of a mess that was created before President Trump’s time, which has had a huge toll, and so we’re going to do our best to try and make progress,” Kushner said.
Be sure and note how Kushner said “a mess that was created before President’s Trump time.” That’s just passing the buck, the same as Dementia Don, who is constantly blaming Joe Biden or Barack Obama even though the current foreign policy clusterfuck can be laid at the grifter-in-chief’s feet.
If and when Donald Trump is finally charged with crimes and prosecuted, enablers like Kushner belong in the dock right beside him.
