Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is in under fire as a result of bigoted comments he made Monday during a speech in Wisconsin, and the firestorm around his remarks doesn’t seem likely to die down anytime soon.
Speaking to a crowd at Oshkosh Corporation in Wisconsin as part of his “Arsenal of Freedom” tour, which the Defense Department claims is to highlight cooperation between American manufacturing and U.S. military operations, Hegseth remarked,”This is a new Department with a new focus on our core mission, where we are restoring the warrior ethos. That means … an unrelenting focus on lethality. That means no more DEI. That means no more trannies, just training.”
In case you were wondering, this isn’t the first time Hegseth has used such a slur against the transgender community.
While speaking in Iowa recently, the defense chief also tossed around the word “trannies,” which certainly makes you wonder why he’s so damn obsessed with the matter.
There were immediate calls for Hegseth to be fired, though that seems unlikely since his boss, so-called “President” Donald Trump, is also a bigoted asshat.
Online reaction to Hegseth’s latest anti-trans comment was immediate and righteously harsh.
